James Bond Movies And Sermons In Colon Panama
Movies and sermons tell powerful stories. A James Bond movie is sure to weave a tall incredible tale. Some sermons are like that too. And some movies are better than some of our sermons.
Nonetheless, for Pastors who are not offended by them, movies come in handy in providing sermon illustrations. I’m already wondering if any good illustration will emerge from Bond 22, the latest Bond story.
Latest James Bond Movie In Panama
The official confirmation is out. Scenes for the [tag-ice]latest James Bond movie[/tag-ice], Bond 22 will be shot in Panama. [tag-tec]Colon, Panama[/tag-tec] will be getting her share of the bright lights. I have been hearing the hushed conversations and speculations for the past few months. However, the buzz of activity is growing louder each day.
With the streets of Colon being repaired, and buildings being renovated it was clear this was not Christmas cleaning. Neither is it preparation for Panama’s Carnival which takes place February 1-5, 2008. Oh I will definitely be telling you about how I spent my time. Carnival time is holiday in Panama. No work for revelers.
According to the site Commander Bond, at the end of the shooting it is likely that Panama might not be Panama in the movie. It might be doubling for a South American country. Well even though Colon might not be Colon I might still be able to recognize a few places even with props.
Pity though, that Pierce Brosnan is no longer Bond. I might have been more inclined to visit the shooting site to gather sermon material. Strictly pastoral research of course. [Was that a snort of disbelief I just heard?]
Free Movie Clips For Your Presentations
Well even if you are not big on [tag-tec]James Bond[/tag-tec], you might still find movie clips to be helpful. Recently, I found this great site where you can download inspirational clips for your sermon or Bible study presentations. You can also view trailers of upcoming movies as well.
On my first visit, I spent a couple hours watching clips arranged according to themes. They are well selected so that the full impact of a line or scene can be inserted seamlessly into your presentations.
Bond might not be there. Nonetheless, drop by Wingclips, grab a free account and start downloading and of course tell your friends and colleagues about it too.
