I commit to praying for wisdom and vision for Global leaders.
It is John Maxwell who declared, ‘Leadership is influence’. Too many of the world’s leaders have been exerting negative influence over those they lead. Their negative ‘mis-leading’ displays a lack of wisdom and vision.
This is true of both religious and secular leaders.
One would have hoped that this would be corrected with a new generation of young emerging leaders, zealous, passionate and ready to serve. This anticipated succession has been sadly disappointing. Young people are not rushing to assume formal positions of leadership.
Yet, the impact of youth influence can be seen and felt in all areas of society. Unfortunately, this influence is mostly linked to negative and destructive events.
The global cry is for wise visionary leaders is increasing.
I join the cry, yet remain conscious that I am among the leadership as well. How does my leadership measure up?
The Holy Spirit endows the Christian leader with wisdom and vision for leading God’s people. Jesus the Christ modeled this Spirit led life for us.
Therefore, I must be dependent on the Spirit. What about you?
