Thanks for visiting. Portobello is small but beautiful. If you are thinking of visiting soon then you’ll be able to see El Nazereno in the church where he is normally kept. However, in October there is a major festival at which time El Nazareno is removed from the church and taken on a procession in the town.

Accommodation is available inside the town of Portobello but nothing I can recommend. Let me know if you are interested in me passing on your email to a contact who has a Villa just outside the town and you could take it from there.

Hi: I am interested in going to see El Nazareno. But, I need someone to guide me how and where I could stay. What about la manda, some say you can buy a gold or just walk. Help me here.i am real interested in going. Thanks

Hi. I'm a devotee. I started 3 year ago. I've gone for the last 3 years and I'm going this weekend just for it. I've seen some real changes in not just my life but the life of my loveones. Welcome and thanks for sharing your experience. I've heard that story many times of the benefits persons receive. But tell me, do you feel like you are worshiping a 'different' God or do you see el Cristo Negro as a representation of God?
